Are you a coachable hockey player?

 Are you coachable at this time of the season where teams are making great strides to compete at a great level so things can be sustained and then added to?

You have to still ask yourself ARE you Coachable? 

The list includes nine characteristics, 

• Willingness to be coached
• Willingness to sacrifice for the team
• Acceptance of criticism
• Acceptance of individual role
• Positive response to discipline
• Attentiveness
• Respect for authority
• Selflessness
• Agreeableness with coach

As you grow as a player, please work on all your skills that need to be developed.  During this time of the season look for ways for you to improve your skill level that is important for your spirit.  The big picture is if you want to progress, develop your spirit of coachability.  Coaches all over the world love players that want to be motivated by accepting and attempting what they are being coached with.  Players at every level, have to interact with a coach. and it’s the way we handle those situations that will make us progress to where we want to get to. Working hard, showing a desire to improve and having a positive attitude are likely on every coach’s description of “coachable” kids and are great starts for any player looking to have an impact on their team.
